The Day Of The Hour

On Saturday, September 23, 2017, eight Canadian cyclists, from five Ontario municipalities, will strive to set or break eight individual UCI world records in their respective age groups at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre velodrome. The cyclists range in age from 32 to 80, and cover both the amateur and professional levels. When the day is over, and these three women and five men have attained their goals, Canada could own more Hour Records than any other nation. What a crowning achievement for Canada 150!  The public is invited to this historic event at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre, 2015 Pan Am Blvd., Milton, Ontario on Saturday, September 23, beginning at 8:00 a.m. The first rider goes at 8:10. Successive riders will start approx. every 90 min. throughout the day. Come out and cheer on these intrepid cyclists, and your own community. Complimentary tickets are available online through Eventbrite. Book early to guarantee your seat while they are still available. Additional information will be available on Facebook @DayoftheHour, or by phone to organizer/participant Michael Kolesar at (905) 301-5533.
